|Rescue Me ID: 15-10-04-00122Sophie (female)|
Sophie is a absolutely beautiful 8 month old pup that was in the Deming Animal Shelter. This small shelter doesn't have many adoptions so her life was in danger. Sophie is friendly, gets along with other dogs and is a joy in her foster home. She loves to be with her people and loves to play with the other pups. Sophie could use some obedience training, she seems to have been allowed to do what ever she wants. Sophie really needs a family that will direct her wonderful energy, she would be a great dog for agility, flyball or any outdoor activity. She would be a great dog for hikers and campers as well. Please come meet this beauty! 602-316-8919 (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-09-24-00667Ci Ci (female)|
Here is a wonderful dog. Her owner had given Ci Ci away a few years ago, and apparently the lady that adopted her didn't want her and let her run. Because she had been micro-chipped by the original owner, she was called, and explained she no longer wanted the dog and the new owner hadn't put the dog in her name, and so was unable to be reached. Found wandering the streets, she has been staying with a lady now who is fostering her. She appears to be a corgi mix. Approx. 6-7 years old, and is a real people pleasure. (not sure why though..) She prefers the outdoors and does ok with other dogs. All the photos make her look larger than she is, but because she has a big dog face, it is deceiving. She could stand to lose a few pounds, but nothing extreme. It would be great if the adoptee would like to go for walks as she loves being outside too. Ci Ci weighs about 13 lbs. Her adoption fee is set at $175.00 This will include her Booster, Rabies shot. (Already spay and micro-chipped). If you are interested in Ci Ci, please fill out a dog interest form on our website. www.azrain.org That is the only way to be considered for any of our dogs. If you see Ci Ci on the internet, she is still available. We remove our dogs with in 48 hrs. of being adopted. THANKS for wanting to RESCUE your next family member! The 1st step to adopting any of our dogs is to fill out an application by going to our website. www.azrain.org. Click on Dog Interest form. Complete it and click submit. Your application stays on file with us for 90 days, in the event you are not chosen to adopt the dog you filled out the application for. Please don't email us, if you haven't filled out an application 1st. We do not bring our small dogs to adoption events, because #1) they are normally scared to death and very nervous, not knowing what's going on with the many people coming up to the pens and hovering over them. Many shiver and shake with the unknown. #2) People adopt on impulse when they see a particularly cute dog/puppy. When they are adopted on impulse, reality sets in with in the 1st month of adopting it. Oh, this puppy ate the leg off my chair, I can't have that!, or You said this dog was house trained and it pees all over;. . . and then in many cases they are returned to rescue. #3) When people have to fill out a form 1st, and read all the questions about the care of a dog/puppy, they see that there are many aspects to adopting a family member, that they may not of thought of. They also realize that it is a life time commitment. The application Is done prior to adopting, so the family understands the seriousness and responsibilities of ownership. We have applications available at 2840 W Chandler Blvd. (At Petsmart, in the Lowes shopping center). It is located at the 101 and chandler blvd. OR, you can go to our website and get one, then email back to us at email@example.com OR, hand deliver it to us on Saturdays at our Donation Table we have set up, right of the front door of Petsmart. Volunteers run the table every Saturday from 10am-2pm. They will make sure it gets to the correct Dept. Many Thanks! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We are a 501c3 non profit Rescue. R.A.I.N. Rescue (Rescuing Animals in Need). ** ALL OF OUR PETS ARE: micro-chipped, (cats are feline Leukemia tested), up to date on immunization shots, spayed/neutered and dogs are current on Rabies shot.. The dogs/puppies are taken off the website with in 48 hrs of being adopted, SO if you see one that interests you, plz fill out an application. IN THE EVENT you do not get the dog or cat that you are applying for, your application will stay on file for 3 months. If you find another pet with RAIN Rescue that you are interested in, (within the 3 month period), just call or email us and tell us the name of the pet and that you have previously filled out a consultation form, and which one you are currently interested in. We will pull your application for the specific dog. ** Just a reminder: we are all volunteers...we all have jobs outside from our volunteer job at the Rescue. We are sorry that we will not make a special time and place to meet you without a consultation application done up. We are able to weed through many applications with out taking too much time. Meeting up prior to an application being done has been found to be unproductive, taking much time for all the volunteers involved, and YOUR time too! Hi I'm Oscar! I am a fully grown little man looking for my forever home! I may be small and quiet, but I am good at making people laugh. I am shy around new people- there is too much craziness! I feel the same about kids and cats; there is a lot going on. I do like to play with other dogs though. I love car rides and walks and will learn new things for treats. Am I your new forever friend? |Rescue Me ID: 15-09-06-00216Colton (male)|
Handsome boy Colton was found wandering the streets of Phoenix. He is now needing a place to call home. He appears to be part Corgi and Wheaton Terrier. Wire type hair like the Wheaton and the shorter body of a Corgi. A Super smart boy, who may be able to teach you a few things?? Approx. 2.5 yrs old, and weighs in at 15 lbs, Colton loves people, children and really LOVES playing in water. He isn't good with cats and likes tormenting them by chasing them (so best in a home with no cats). He does well going out the doggy door. Colton is neutered, current on Booster, Rabies shot and micro-chipped. The adoption fee is set at $200.00 for Colton. Are you wanting a handsome companion? One who could go for walks with and car rides?? A cuddle on the couch with? Come see Colton! If you see Colton on the internet, he is still available. We remove our dogs within 48 hours of them being adopted. If you want to be considered for a RAIN Rescue dog, please fill out an application by going to our website at www.azrain.org, and filling out a dog interest form. Lady is a gorgeous Cairn Terrier/Corgi mix who was saved from the euthanasia list at the County shelter. We couldn't leave without this gorgeous girl and it was one of the best choicest we've made! If you are looking for a dog to constantly make you happy and laugh then Lady is definitely the one for you. She has a knack for finding a ball to play with anywhere she goes and recently found out she loves to play at the Lake with furry and human friend alike. She does really well in her current home situation which includes young children, cats, and dogs alike! Schedule a play date with Lady so you can see how cuddly and cute she is in person!

He is current on his vaccinations, is spayed, and micro-chipped. Call or e-mail today to set up an appointment to meet Flavio.

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Corgi in Arizona|
Corgi Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
