|Rescue Me ID: 17-12-18-00362Baxter (male)|
Baxter is a 2 year old welsh corgi mix who is looking for the perfect forever home. Baxter is an outgoing player who gets along well with other dogs close to his size and loves to play with toys. Baxter considers himself quite the lady's man, but he's ready to settle down. He bonds more quickly with women than men, and seems to bond more strongly to one person and stick by their side. Baxter would do best in a home with only one female parent and no children, that isn't too busy with visitors. Baxter is house broken as well as kennel trained and will wait until outside time to do his business. Baxter could use a little training on a leash, but is ready to hop in the car and ride off into the sunset any day! Baxter weighs in at about 10 pounds full grown. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, licensed, and vet checked. His adoption fee is $220. His adoption fee includes a free vet visit as well as 30 days of free pet insurance. To meet him come to our shelter location 1102 W Hatcher Rd open Tuesaday to Sunday 11-6. Call for locations on weekend as we have off site adoption events that some dogs attend. (Less)

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Corgi in Arizona|
Corgi Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
