Rescue Me ID: 14-03-23-00108Eddie (male)
Arizona Adoptions only, please. -EDDIE- Came to us through an owner surrender. We were told he was a BT but when we arrived to take the little guy, it was clear he was a darling mix. We are calling him a 'Borgie' Boston/Corgie Mix. We did not want him to have to go back to the shelter he was adopted from so of course we made room at the AZBTR Inn for Eddie. He's quite a character with his stocky build and soft coat. Often his tongue will stick out a bit which only adds to his character. He is a happy and affectionate guy and loves to crawl in your lap and be petted. He's in a foster home with 4 other dogs and has been introduced to all of their BT friends as well. Eddie is very smart and full of energy. He needs structure and some basic rules made clear to him. He is eager to please and will be a wonderful companion for the right person. Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids, Good with Adults, Somewhat vocal, Does Good in the Car, Requires a yard, Likes to be in your lap, Prefers cool climate, Prefers warm climate, Playful, Eager To Please, Intelligent, Goofy (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-03-18-00090Oscar (male)
Meet Oscar!! Oscar does well with dogs. Does not do well with children. Has not been cat tested. Oscar is house broken, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. One look at him and this guy will steal your heart fur-ever! Oscar is loving, incredibly intelligent, and is full of silly habits like dragging his blankie around, walking with a toy in his mouth, and talking (not really, but he's trying)! Oscar is a very shy when meeting new folks, so would do best in a quiet home with no children where he can learn trust and patience again (Oscar recommends teaching him with doggy treats, he loves learning when treats are involved!) Experienced dog owners preferred. If your family is looking for a silly four-legged friend to join your quiet, warm home, Oscar could be the guy for you! If you are interested in Oscar please fill out an application on www.underdogaz.com or send an email for more information to email@example.com More about OSCAR Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids, Leashtrained, Cratetrained, Likes to play with toys, Likes to be in your lap, Apartment OK, Obedient, Affectionate, Eager To Please, Goofy (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-01-07-00168Buddy (male)
Buddy was going to be euthanized because he was so timid. He loves to be outside in the fresh air and play. He came in as a stray and nobody came for poor Buddy. Sad and depressed it took awhile for him to warm-up. He doesn't mind being chased when picked up, and loves to have his belly rubbed! Neutered, up-to-date on shots, he is ready for his forever home with people who will love him and care for him!

Animal ID: 20130017Capone (male)
Capone is a five year-old Chihuahua/Corgi mix. He was originally labeled 'adoptable' at the Shelter. This means he passed his Asilomar Accords, which is a standardized test the shelters use to determine adoptability. However, he didn't adjust to kennel living and became depressed so he was put on the E-list for deterioration. He's still a bit nervous, but definitely much happier now he's in a real home. He is being fostered with other dogs and gets along with them. Be careful though - because he's a bit of an escape artist so make sure the garage door is closed before entering the house. He is already neutered and current on his 4-in-1 booster shot as well as his rabies shot and license. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Corgi in Arizona
Corgi Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
