Corgi Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Betty is a special girl to say the least! She comes to us from IRAN, yes, Iran. Our rescue partners with a animal rescue near Tehran and Betty was found as a stray in Iran where stray dogs have little to no hope of living. She was seen being kicked and tormented by some people on the street. Luckily, a good person took her to the rescue. Betty is a sweet dog, and is very gentle. She would be great with any kind of family. She is in a foster home with 3 other dogs and a cat. They describe her as 'incredible'. We think Betty could be a lab/corgi mix given her shorter legs...but there are no papers to confirm. Betty is waiting for a loving ... (Read More)home.     Martini is a rat terrier/corgi mix he is 4 yrs old that weighs 22 lbs. 'Meet Martini named so because of a spot on his fur that looks like a martini glass! Martini is lovable, friendly, loves to lounge around and sleep but when it comes time to play he is a ball of energy who enjoys playing catch and stretching his legs. A unique thing about him, he has a pretty wide palate and loves fruits and vegetables. Some examples, persimmon, cucumber, tomatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, squash to name a few. A cozy bed, good company and playing catch is all Martini needs to be happy. He is a happy easy going dog who would make an excellent companion.' He's neutered updated on shot etc. (Less)

Daisy describes herself as a 5 years old, Corgi Mix, and up to date on all vaccines. A little about me, I was adopted by a family at the Oceanside Humane Society. The family did a full introduction with the children and other dog. Daisy did very well during the introduction. Daisy has been with this family since September. Daisy is crate and house trained and very affectionate with female owner. Daisy has unfortunately bit owner's child (in her defense the child climbed into the kennel. She would be a good candidate for some behavior training and best to be in a quite house. She tends to react in new situations and with loud noises. (Read More)The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 5 months old. I have been at the shelter since Jul 03, 2017. Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal: Freya is a young, short-legged, long-bodied chocolate Pit Bull mix who needs more intensive training and care than we can provide at this time. Our wonderful volunteers have been dedicated to taking her out on walks and our behaviorist has had her participating in playgroups. But she needs more! She would benefit from ongoing training for her leash manners and reactivity. She also needs a more structured environment to help with her defensiveness and sensitivity. These are very workable issues and we feel that she deserves the chance to thrive in a better and more encouraging environment. If you, or someone you know, have the time and structure to help this cute girl, please come and meet her! This may be her only chance she so desperately needs at a life she deserves. She will need a home with no young children but older children who are experienced with dogs is okay. She is can be picky about which dogs she likes so a home with no other dogs may be best. Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Blind, Deaf

Paco Bell was abandoned by his owners when they moved away and left him behind. Paco Bell appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier or Corgi/Chihuahua Mix. His short coat is mostly white with tan patches and his tail curls over his back. His estimated date of birth is 12/13/06. He weighs approximately 11 pounds. Paco Bell had his teeth cleaned and anal glands expressed. He has cataracts in both eyes and appears to be blind. Paco Bell is looking for a quiet home with his own person to love and be a companion to. $50 adoption fee, cash only, which is to help reimburse for a portion of expenses of dog rescue and rehabilitation. Local adoptions only; within 75 mile radius because we deliver animal to its new home to do a home/yard check. Our adoption process involves meeting the animal, either at Petco in Menifee on Saturdays from 10-2 or by appointment on other days at the rescue in Quail Valley. We have the best interest of the animal in mind and our goal is to find a good, permanent home for each of our rescued animals. We have the right to decline an application if we feel it is not a good match or fit for the animal. If you like the animal and we both feel it is a good match, an application and adoption contract is completed. A convenient day/time is arranged for us to deliver the animal to its new home to do a home check (to make sure the home is safe and secure). We will collect the adoption fee (cash only) when we deliver the animal to its new home. All our adoptions are on a trial basis because our goal is to have a successful adoption where the animal has a good permanent home and never ends up in a bad situation again. We ask that you give the animal a chance to adjust and settle in his new home and environment. Going to a new home with new people and a new environment is traumatic and stressful. It will take time for the animal to become comfortable around you and his/her new home. This should be a bonding period where you get to know the animal and connect with it, spend time with it and take things slow. He/she will need to get to know and trust you and learn the rules of the house and what is expected of him/her. This takes time, sometimes 2-3 weeks. During this time we will hold the adoption fee and if the adoption is not working out, we ask that you contact us and return the animal and we will refund your adoption fee. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Corgi in California
Corgi Dogs can make good pets in California if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
