|Rescue Me ID: 14-12-15-00424Punkin (female)|
Punkin is a year old Welsh Corgi mix. She weighs 31 pounds and may get a little bigger, as she is not done growing yet. This poor little girl was discarded at 6 months of age in such a horrible shape, that it took rescue 2 months to get her in shape to be adopted. She is beautiful now and has learned that people can be friendly. It does take her a few minutes to learn a new person before she warms up to you. This is remarkable progress as she trusted no one when she first was rescued. Punkin gets along beautifully with other dogs and can be very loving to the person who is willing to spend time with her. Punkin needs someone who understands neglected pets and has a huge heart. If you would like to adopt Punkin, please go to brantleyanimalrescuecoalition.weebly.com and fill out an adoption application. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 13-09-28-00005Franca (female)|
Sweet & energetic, this dog was rescued by a different group than her border collie companion on her last day in Murray County, right before lethal injection. Sadly, she didn't get to stay w/her companion so misses her lots; gets along best with older, completely calm dogs, esp. males (she is very selective about dogs she likes). House- and crate-trained, loving/conservative w/people, likes to roughhouse w/other dogs; heartworm-negative, current on shots, chipped, on monthly HW & flea/tick preventative. Please take this high-adrenaline, eager girl home and give her lots of playtime, love, and regular exercise so she can trim back down to the gorgeous girl she's meant to be (we have finally got a waist-line appearing!). About 5yrs and 40ish lbs. Adoption donation $170 against vet bills, no checks. Leave a message on VM at 678-MEOW-NAP [636-9627] or email email@example.com for further info or an application. (Less)

Corgi Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
