Rescue Me ID: 15-04-09-00448Ollie (male)

Corgi Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Ollie is a 6-year-old male corgi mix. He is a total lovebug who enjoys cuddling and kisses. He would be ideal for an elderly person in need of a companion. He does like to play, but he is just as happy to lay around. He is good with other dogs in a social setting, but should be an only pet, as he does have some food aggression issues with other dogs. He loves older children, but toddlers make him nervous, and he does not like babies at all (they completely freak him out). He does need his shots, and his nails need to be cut by the vet because he has severe anxiety about having his nails clipped - no idea why. He has always been a very loved ... Corgi Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Bethany is a very sweet 5 month old puppy that is full of energy. She loves to cuddle and play. She also loves to be outside. She is working on potty training, but does go on pee pads in the house while we are working on it. She is good with children and other dogs. She is one of those dogs that can be just about any breed! For now we are going with Boston Terrier, Lhasa Apso and on and on! She has terrier hair, a Boston body, and a super cute underbite! She is a must see! Puppies have special and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the ... Rescue Me ID: 15-01-27-00040Farah (female)

Corgi Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Farah is a female shepherd mix pup. She came from a high kill shelter in Kentucky with her brother, Fergus and sister, Fiona. They all look different so we suspect they have different fathers. They are guessed to be born around November 1st. Farah is the smallest of all the siblings. So far she has been a shy and reserved puppy who needs a family that has the time and patience to dedicate to socialize and train her. Farah's adoption fee of $350 goes towards the cost of her vetting. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the ... (Read More)'Adoption Process' tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested ( as appropriate), fecal tested, and microchipped. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Corgi in Illinois
Corgi Dogs can make good pets in Illinois if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
