|Rescue Me ID: 17-04-07-00253Bindi (female)|
Bindi is a 1.5 y/o 32# Cowboy Corgi who was picked up as a stray in NM. She was terrified in the shelter but has been very snuggly in her foster homes. She was adopted but was returned because owner could not handle to training needs; she hasn't done well with other dogs, but she could be ok with another dog who will respect her space and isn't the jealous type. Bindi is a sweet smart girl who knows how to use a doggie door and who bonds to her female human very strongly. She is afraid of strangers and large men but she's made lots of progress around strangers. Her previous foster was a man who she learned to love but it did take some time. She needs an owner who can give her the confidence she needs to greet others. WDCR requires an application, home and reference check and a meet and greet with current pets and/or children in the home. If interested in Bindi or if you think that you'd be able to give Bindi the love and dedication she needs and deserves, please complete an application at https://form.jotform.us/72074690104148 (Less)

Corgi Dogs can make good pets in Iowa if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
