This is Maverick and Bruno (formerly Copper & Cody). This is a perfect example of why we avoid adopting two puppies into the same home. They are Vixey puppies born in February 2016. They were adopted by members of the same family but different households. We had extensive discussions regarding them not living in the same home. That warning got ignored and after two weeks in separate homes they ended up living in the same home. That is until it got too much. They are bonded to each other and not very interested in humans and are very unsocial with humans. We are breaking that bond by separating them at different times and will work toward totally separating them from each other to try and improve the human relationship. Right now they are still nippy with humans and that is coming along slowly. They are housebroken 'for the most part' we were informed. They do NOT walk well on a leash and that will require work. A harness will be a necessity for both of them. Vixey was a Welsh Corgi mix. They are short kids and aren't very big. They have beautiful coats. (Less)

Corgi Dogs can make good pets in Iowa if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
