Rescue Me ID: 16-07-22-00157Cali (female)

Corgi    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

This is Cali she is a 7 year old corgi. She has been in my care since she was 8 months old. She was rescued form a privately owned pet shop that was not able to sell her during the puppy stage. I'm looking to find a home for Cali due to her incompatibility with my toddler due to allergies and some minor aggression issues (growling). Cali is due for a 3 year booster vaccination and has some bladder stones. She is a cuddler and a bit of an attention hog with the typical corgi behaviors. Out of our 2 dogs she is the alpha.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Corgi in Kentucky
Corgi Dogs can make good pets in Kentucky if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
