|Rescue Me ID: 16-10-18-00630Oedipus (male)|
Oedipus has been in our family for little over a year. The shelter we got I'm from thought he was around 5 years old, would now be 6. He has seen many changes and handled them with grace. Recently, his grace has gone and he is no longer willing to accept the environment around him. We are incredibly disheartened by this. We want only for him to be happy and loved. We got Oedipus from a local shelter with a couple of health issues trailing him. He has and will always have KCS. It is a condition in which he cannot produce many/ if any tears in his eyes. Therefore, a crusty build-up will happen if the proper treatment is not given. We have him on Cyclosporin eye drops, 3 times a day, they seem to work very well with his body chemistry. He also had a history of seizures. We had him on Phenobarbital (a seizure medication) for approximately 6 months after taking him home. We took him off the medication for a month to see if there was any need for it, and he hasn't had a seizure since then. He has always been such a great dog. He knows things we never taught him. He sits, goes to bed, will kennel. He needs a home that will provide all the love and attention that he needs. He isn't fond of his younger dog brother (also a corgi.) I think Oedipus would do great in a very relaxed home. He is good with kids, but he is very grabby with treats or any food. Absolutely no food aggression, just a passion for things that taste good. He walks great, always staying by your side. He will unconditionally love anyone he meets. I just want him to find his perfect match. He's a great dog that just needs a little special attention. Please consider adding Rex to your home, and feel free to contact me with any questions. (Less)

Corgi Dogs can make good pets in Nebraska if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
