|Rescue Me ID: 17-12-28-00337Libby & Lulu (female)|
Libby and Lulu are a bonded pair of dachshund/corgi mixes. They are 7 years old and get along well with other dogs and good with cats. Both are housetrained and dog door trained. Libby and Lulu were spoiled with food by their previous owner, who passed away. As a result, they were quite heavy and needed to lose a significant amount of weight. According to the vet, Libby is now at an ideal weight but Lulu can afford to lose a few more pounds. Currently they are on a low fat, high fiber dog food. These girls are playful yet they enjoy snuggling on the couch and belly rubs. They also really enjoy licking people they like, including each other, and sometimes need to be corrected to stop. Libby and Lulu are true love bugs who just want to snuggle and cuddle. Both girls are very obedient, are good on walks and are just all around fantastic girls. Corgi Dogs can make good pets in New Jersey if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
