Barb is another one of the many dogs dropped off at high-kill shelters by their owners. You can see in her eyes she has no idea what's going on. This poor girl is afraid and confused now, but she'll soon learn there are better days ahead. Not surprisingly, this pretty girl is a little on the shy side. But she is very sweet and warms up quickly. Barb is 4 years old and weighs 25 pounds. Please help this Welsh Corgi mix find the loving home she deserves. |Animal ID: 137925Ella (female)|
This 1 year old Corgi/Pit mix is Ella. Ella has a long body and short legs traditional of a Corgi frame. She walks well on lead and affectionately snuggled onto our evaluator's lap. Ella sits for a treat, which she accepted gently from our fingers. She was eager to play and willingly shared both her rawhide and toys with our evaluators. Ella was a lady at her food bowl, happily wagging her tail as she ate. This sweet girl did well with the male dog she met outside and shares her kennel with another dog as well. Stop by and meet Ella today.

|Rescue Me ID: 15-07-17-00773Boom Boom and Chucky (male)|
Boom Boom and Chucky are brothers and have been together their whole lives, but now are in URGENT need of a new home. Their caretaker can no longer take care of them and is heartbroken that he has to find them a home. They are both 5 years old, having been raised like children in the family. Chucky is very laid back and walks beautifully on a leash, he is calm and well behaved. He is a little more reserved than his brother, Boom Boom, but is a devoted companion. Boom Boom is very affectionate, walks well on a leash, and is playful. Their caretaker is hoping they can be adopted together as they have been together their whole lives and sleep together at night. They are up to date on their shots and neutered. They are good with older children. They are about 15 lbs. each. For more information on these two wonderful little dogs, please contact the Pet Adoption League at 973-584-0095, email us at info@palpets,.org or visit our website at www.palpets.org (Less)

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Corgi in New Jersey|
Corgi Dogs can make good pets in New Jersey if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
