Hi There-My name is Sweetie. I am a 2 year Beagle ends know me as Sweetie. I am a 2 year Beagle/Corgi mix girl. I tip the scale at 22 pounds. My family surrendered me to the shelter after I had puppies in Kentucky. The shelter was one big and scary place. I travelled quite a ways to my new foster home in Brene, NY where I am being taken care of by my Foster Mom until I find a home of my very own. My Mom says I am a SUPER SWEET girl with capital S(that is why one look at me and my Mom named me Sweetie). I am a LOVER; always ready for a belly rub. l am very affectionate and love to cuddle with my Mom when we are watching T.V. or hanging out ... (Read More)at night. All the other doggies in my foster home like me and I like them too. On top of that I am even cat tested. I have managed to make friends with the cat and will even sneak into the cat's bed when the cat is not looking. My Mom has this really cool leash that she got for me and I love going on our daily walks with the 2 other doggies in my foster home. I also ride in the car like a champ. Sweetie does have 'Blue eye' condition-for which the rescue got her treatment but she may need to be on drops the rest of her life. But this does not hamper her in any manner. She is as sweet and loving as can be. Sweetie is a one great dog. She is very smart, playful, friendly and outgoing. Her tail is always wagging and she is one happy little girl. All she wants to do is please you. Sweetie loves everyone she meets; women, men, children, big dogs, little dogs. Sweetie has yet to meet someone she does not like. If you want a sweet, playful dog that is full of personality-Sweetie is your girl. Sweetie is spayed, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on all her shots. Sweetie is good to go, set, ready and waiting. Sweetie's adoption fee is only $300 and she is worth every penny of it. What more can you ask for??? Sweetie is being fostered in Berne, NY. Please contact Heartbod@yahoo.com for more information on Sweetie. (Less)

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament

Our boy Linus is truly one of a kind! This 4 month old, Lab/Corgi mix pup is a 'Mini Lab' - perfect for those with limited space but unlimited love! With his gorgeous lab face and adorably cute Corgi legs, his Long Island foster says he's 'a dream', and we absolutely agree. Now he just needs to find an equally dreamy NY/Tri-state area FOREVER HOME. This little sweetie will snuggle his way right into your heart! We're not exaggerating when we say that Linus really has it all. Even though he's young, he's an incredibly laid back and easygoing boy - he's not mouthy, doesn't chew, walks nicely on a leash, rides well in the car, and sleeps ... (Read More)through the night. He LOVES to play with other dogs, so he would like to request a friendly furry friend in his new home. His gentle and quiet personality also means he's wonderful with kids. We think he'd be a dream come true for a first time pet owner! (He has never been around cats so we don't know about felines.) He is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, and his adoption fee is $375. (Less)

The 'little Italians' the foster has nicknamed these little ladies. They are sweet and loving with a heartfelt story to be told. These ladies where rescued by a Good Samaritan on vacation. He was in Italy and saw these two strays, opened the door of his rental car and they jumped in, this began their journey to New York. He named them Gina and Princess which they respond to. The vet has estimated their age to be both a year old. Princess is a Corgi, Chihuahua mix, she is shy but sweet and loves to snuggle. She is tan and white in coloring. Princess has an old injury to both her front legs with visible scarring. She has been taken to a ... (Read More)specialist and they believe she was hit by a car in the past. Princess needs no further vet care for her legs but takes supplements daily of glucosamine and joint supplement. Princess is a little nervous around new dogs but warms up after a few hours. She would do best with calm older dogs that respect her space. Princess loves people but is guarded when being picked up, she would prefer to stay on all fours. She loves to jump into bed and watch television, she is house trained and knows basic commands. Belly rubs are her favorite and laying across your feet when sitting down. Gina is a loyal girl. She is sweet and adoring. Gina loves to get attention, will jump into your lap and gives kisses. Gina is smart and likes to play with other dogs which helps princess socialize. Gina likes to learn new tricks and is very food motivated. She looks just like a miniature German Shorthaired Pointer her breed is unknown at this time. Gina shares her food with princess and they eat together nicely. She cares for princess as if she was her child. They both would do best with a fenced yard. Lots of love and attention. Their home can have children over the age of 10 years old preferred. Older dogs or calm dogs are okay for them to live with. They are both about 14lbso adopt these two perfect girls contact 631-880-9373 (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Corgi in New York
Corgi Dogs can make good pets in New York if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
