|Rescue Me ID: 14-10-13-00761Kip Pepper (male)|
Kip was born about May 27, 2009 and weighs about 30 lbs. He has been wonderful with the other dogs and just perfect with every human he has met. His personality is just happy and friendly and he's not a big barker. So appreciated here!!! Even though he is an adult he still acts like a goofy puppy, a nice medium/high energy and he LOVES toys!!! He is a master at throwing toys in the air and running to catch and chase them. I'm told he is the BEST dog in the bunch! He did very well on his long car ride here and is anxious for his next, and final, life change. Will it be with you? All our dogs from the south have been tested for heart worm. This dog's life was spared due to our incredible FACEBOOK FANS!!!!! An e-mail came to JR begging us to help the southern shelter just a few hours before they were to be killed! Money has been a little tight around here and I (Joye) knew we didn't have the financial means to make the trip that tends to run about $800.00. But, you all came through and we were able to maximize the trip to 19 dogs out of Kentucky along with a side trip to West Virginia!!! Thank you to Susan & Denise for making this LONG journey and to Katie for meeting them here after midnight to help unload. To everyone that made this happen - THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Less)

|Animal ID: 14D125Kelsey Bradley (male)|
Kelsey was born about April 21, 2006 and weighs about 35 lbs. He is wonderful with other dogs, is fine on leash, and is on the quiet side. He is very friendly, loving, and has a nice medium energy, just a nice guy. We have also found out that he is fine with cats and wonderful with children! A Note From His Foster Mom: Kelsey is a dream dog. It is as if he lived with us all his life. He has awesome doggy manners. he does not jump up on furniture or people. we have tried to get him to sit on the couch with us and he is content to sit at our feet. He is a shy eater so i separate him for my dogs while eating.(he won't eat if my dogs are looking at him or are in the same room) He is very gentle taking treats. He knows a few commands such as sit, wait, come and stay. He really enjoys his treats and likes to do our training sessions. He enjoys his walks and is great on the leash. We have him on a led outside and he likes to chase after squirrels. Kelsey perks up when he sees kids and is great with letting them pet him. He likes other dogs that he has met. He is very laid back and is happy just hanging out with his dog friends and people. We have not heard him bark yet. He has been sleeping in my daughter bedroom. He sleeps all night and we wake him up around 7am to get him outside to potty and eat breakfast. he has not had any accidents in the house. He is hesitate to go up stairs and will not go up stairs on his own. I find that he will do anything I ask when the leash is on. Kelsey is a super great dog and pleasure. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 14-04-23-00232Isabelle Isabella (female)|
Isabelle was street dog in Arecibo Puerto Rico when she was picked for TNR a few months ago. She was spayed and vaccinated and released back to the same area where some very kind people were feeding and looking out for her. Pets Alive in Puerto Rico got the word that the area was no longer a safe place for Isabelle so they took her into their rescue program. Isabelle made her journey to Pets Alive in Middletown in search of a loving family of her very own. ***To fill out an adoption application for this dog, please go to the following website: http://www.petsalive.com/adoptadog.html . |PIease Read Before Adopting a Corgi in New York|
Corgi Dogs can make good pets in New York if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
