|Rescue Me ID: 14-10-05-00190Chloe (female)|
Chloe is a very sweet 5 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi (Tri-color). She is purebred although her face is a 'mis-mark' (we found this very cute). We have had Chloe since she was 4 months old, and she has slowly over time developed very severe anxiety. We have another younger Pembroke, and are expecting a baby in the next 8 months, and feel we can no longer meet her needs due to changing family circumstances and needing special attention for her anxiety needs that we cannot provide. This is very heartbreaking for us, as we love her very much and she is a very sweet and loving animal when her anxiety is under control. We are looking for a home for her without other dogs and with no children, to ensure she can get the attention she needs and help for her anxiety. We have tried behavior training with her in the past, but cannot devote the time and resources necessary with our current lifestyle to support her in that training full-time. We both believe given the right attention and family, she can be an amazing companion. Whoever adopts Chloe will need to be fully committed to providing the training she needs and understand that going in. An adoption fee is negotiable, as we love her very much and if we find a family that is a good fit we would not consider a price, however we also want to make sure whoever adopts her is very committed to helping her and seeing her as a lifetime companion. Please contact us for more information. **PLEASE NOTE: we are very certain we would like her in a home without other dogs. We realize many potential adoptive families have dogs. Chloe requires a lot of indivi attention and does not do well socially with other animals due to her anxiety. She becomes very overwhelmed by them. Please consider this before responding.** (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 14-10-04-00235Jasper (male)|
Jasper is a very sweet 8 year old Corgi/ Tibetan Mastiff mix. He loves to cuddle and play outside. Jasper is wonderful with female dogs and very tolerant of children. However, he is a bit territorial around other male dogs. He is housebroken but barks loudly and often so is not appropriate for apartment living. He chews when anxious and will need a fenced area. Sweet Jasper needs a good home with owners who can give more time than we can. He is neutered but needs to be updated on his vaccinations.

Corgi Dogs can make good pets in North Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
