Rescue Me ID: 18-02-07-00517Sadie (female)
Sadie is a 10 year old Jack Russell-Corgi mix. She is a very sweet, smart, and protective dog. Loves to snuggle, dig for rodents, and keep the house safe (from the mailman!). I've had Sadie since she was a puppy and she completed all of the PetSmart training courses easily. As our family has grown, we have less and less time for her so she doesn't get enough exercise or stimulation. She is also uncomfortable with the sudden movements and often rough touches of small children. The best home for Sadie would be with an active family without children, or possibly with older (teenage) children. She loves running, hiking, and sniffing for animals, but also loves snuggling on the sofa in the evening. She has lived with a cat (also up for adoption!) and other dogs at different times (only one at a time, 1 female, and 2 males). She generally responds aggressively to unknown dogs on her turf. Sadie is housebroken and will bark and/or come find you to go out. She knows the commands SIT, STAY, WAIT, OFF, COME, LAY DOWN, LEAVE IT, and SPEAK. A fenced yard is preferable as she really loves to run and will run off (but will likely make it home for dinner). If Sadie sounds like a good match, please don't hesitate to contact me. It's breaking my heart to give her up, but she deserves more than we can give at the moment. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-08-31-00312Bertram (male)
Bertram came from FCDS in Columbus. He was rescue listed for behavior. Bertram does best in a quiet home as an only pet. He loves to cuddle once he settles in and makes an excellent companion. We recommend older children only because he does get scared. He is 1.5 years old. He is fully vetted, micro chipped and up to date on all shots. His adoption fee is $200

Animal ID: WinnieWinnie (female)
Winnie is so deserving and promises to reward you tenfold if you give her a forever home! She is a super sweet chihuahua mix looking for a lap! She was rescued from the shelter by someone who was unable to keep her. Winnie has come a LONG WAY in trusting, and struggles at first to trust men. With a little time and patience, she will be in your best bud! She is wonderful with children. She gets along with other dogs, but does not require their company. Winnie is house trained and crate trained. She likes to chase the ball and give stuffed animals to visitors. Mostly, she likes to snuggle on the couch and sleep at your feet. If you'd like a laid back bff, Winnie is your girl! Winnie is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and heartworm tested. Her adoption fee is $200. She is approximately 6 years old. Corgi Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
