Rescue Me ID: 16-01-27-00513Buffy (female)

Corgi Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Low Energy
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Check out the ears on sweet, pretty Buffy...we think a Chihuahua/Corgi mix. She was taken to a local shelter when her person could no longer care for her because of ill health. She is so shy and confused about why she was deserted. She's very sweet and gets along with other small dogs well. She's house trained and will also use a doggie door. She is very well mannered and quiet. Buffy would prefer a quiet, adult home with NO children, making her a perfect companion for a retiree or senior. Buffy has been fully vetted, vaccinated, spayed, has had a dental, heartworm negative and microchipped. ** 4 years old ** 9 lbs **

Corgi Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Dolly was a owner surrender on 11/30. At that time the foster family meet with the original family to pick up Dolly and take her home. The travel from Denison,tx to Oklahoma city went well. As the foster family got home, Dolly seemed fine in the car. As the kids opened the Door the the car Dolly made her great escape and was on the run free from 11/30/15 to 01/07/16. We had a large group of volunteers looking searching high and low for Dolly. On 01/07/16 a very nice lady who was a apartment manager found Dolly and brought her in to her home, she even offered to foster Dolly. Dolly is currently being fostered with her two house ... (Read More)mates. She does well with smaller dogs only! She will panick around big dogs and even try to defend herself. She was great with cats, takes her time to warm up first. And she is okay with older kids that understand to take it easy. Dolly is very loyal and probably would do better in a quiet environment of a single person home. She would be perfect for an apartment. SHE MUST BE ON LEASH OUTSIDE THE HOME. The back yard must be fenced. Dolly will be spayed vaccinated and heartworm tested before adoption. Currently she is in a foster home. (Less)

Animal ID: 14-09-13-00003Badger (male)

Corgi Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only, Good with Adult Women Only
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Badger can not be around children, as he tends to be a biter and unpredictable. He is comfortable with three women that work at the shelter. We believe that Badger has been severely abused by being kicked and hit, because when you walk in to the room and he doesn't know you he will attack your feet and he doesn't trust hands coming at him. It will take a special person who has lots of time and attention and patience to give to Badger. Little boy Badger loves his treats! he sits up so cute waiting for a treat and takes them just fine. He has a bit of an attitude, until you get to know him. He just loves our Office Manager Kim and turns into ... (Read More)silly puddy for her and he will with you too with love and attention... Rescue Me ID: 12-09-13-00117Harrison 'Harry' (male)

Corgi Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Harry is still looking for his forever home...could your home be the one he is looking for? Meet Harrison - Harry to his friends. Harry has returned and is available for adoption! This is only the neatest dog in the world but he has been returned because he likes to explore the world and doesn't always listen up when called... just like most men... His adopter was looking for a dog that would go on long mountain treks and stay right there with the riders but Harry...well, he just wasn't interested in limiting his adventures to the trail...This dog has so much love to give...and I think his perfect home is with a gentleman who wants a very ... (Read More)BFF. He loves walks (but a leash is a must). He thinks he is a lap dog (not quite). Loves orange juice. Last weighed in at about 43-45 pounds. He is an adult probably 4-5 years old. He has short legs and is about 16-18 inches at the shoulder....Very stout. We always say we are not sure if he is a big dog in a little body or a little dog in a big body. If you would be interested in a stubborn minded Corgi/Airedale mix...please think of Harry. There is a gentleness in his eyes and a distinctive look all his own. He gets along with other dogs and some cats. I am confident he would love children as much as he would love a quiet older home where he is the center of attention - so if you are an older home looking for a quiet pet to sit and watch TV with you he would be thrilled when the grandchildren came to play... Harry was a last minute pull from a gassing shelter - he has been completely vetted including neutered, rabies, he tested negative for heartworm and ehrlichia and lyme disease, has been wormed and is on heartworm preventative and been treated for fleas and ticks. In other words, Harry is ready to go down the road and move in with his new family.Harry is microchipped. He is looking for a forever home... Is your home the one he is looking for? Harry's adoption fee is $150.00 to an approved home. In order to adopt Harry, you must complete our application process and have a safety check of your fence to ensure that Harry has an appropriate and safe environment.(/p) (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Corgi in Oklahoma
Corgi Dogs can make good pets in Oklahoma if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
