Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This is Cowboy and he's really happy to be in Wyoming and off of death row in that high-kill shelter in OK! He's 4 years old (born in June 2012) and is very sweet. He's good with other dogs, kids, puppies...all he wants is some love and attention and to have a comfy spot to take a nap in once in awhile. Someone needs to give this boy a chance - he's one of the most low-maintenance guys we've ever had. Not pushy, good manners (although if you're sitting, he will put his paws and head in your lap), housebroken. Sometimes he seems as if he's not sure if he's going to get smacked, but as soon as he realizes you're going to pet him, he perks ... (Read More)right up. He's a German Shepherd/Corgi mix and weighs in at 56 lbs. His adoption fee is 150 and includes age-appropriate shots, worming, microchip and neuter. An approved application is required (which can be found here:, as is an adoption contract. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Corgi in Wyoming
Corgi Dogs can make good pets in Wyoming if they match your IifestyIe. The Welsh Corgi comprises two distinct breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is the larger of the two, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, which is more common. Welsh Corgis are some of the healthiest herding dogs out there. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are smart, devoted, and obedient dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are great with good children. Corgis are good guard dogs and can become overprotective unless they are thoroughly socialized as puppies. Corgis are active and energetic and need to be taken on long walks. Corgis can adapt well to apartment life with enough daily exercise.
