I received no less than 25 inquires in less than 24 hours since posting my sweet Kiwi on Rescue Me! Each and every person I spoke with had owned a Corgi in the past or currently owned a Corgi. I narrowed the list down to three potential families, and am happy to report that she was adopted by my first choice family. I chose a couple that had lost their 13 year old Corgi last February, and who had no other pets. Kiwi's new Dad is in full remission from cancer treatments last year and is also recently retired. He and Kiwi are going to be wonderful companions to each other and become great buddies. She will be the #1 VIP in her new home. She's a lucky girl and I couldn't be more excited for her and her new family. Thanks so much to Rescue Me! and to Bonnie for the assistance and guidance in helping Kiwi to find her new fur-ever home.

Our corgi 'Bones' found a new home through Rescue Me! A lovely young lady has taken her to live in Lexington with her male corgi. E-mails to me indicate it is a very good fit! Bones seems to like her new surroundings and the new owner seems to be falling in love with her. I am so delighted Bones is happy and will be well taken care of. A good connection!

Within hours of posting Lacey on Rescue Me!, we started receiving many inquiries about her... There were so many wonderful, loving options for our girl. We believe we made the right choice for Lacey, and feel that she will be well loved and happy in her new home. Thank you everyone for offering your homes and hearts, we would have liked to pick you all. God Bless you! We hope you all find the right pup.

This lovely boy, Wellington, needed a new home away from the farm he had wandered to. When he was ready to go to his forever home I listed him with Rescue Me! A couple, five hours away, thought he would be a great companion for their Corgi, so we arranged for them to come meet him. The next day he was on his way to his furever home! Thank you for this place to help dogs.

This senior was one of three that had been left by their owner when they moved. They were all sitting in the shelter, scared and wondering what they did wrong. I am so excited that this baby was adopted! I hope the same for the other two. Paws crossed!

Sue and Bob lost their beloved Corgi, Maggie, last year from cancer. From what her children have said, the house just wasn't the same without a dog and neither was Sue. Even though Bob said he would not have another dog, Sue took a look at Rescue Me! My dog, Beckham, came up as a possible match, and she took the chance and e-mailed me. We corresponded for two days about our lives and Beck. From my end, it was exactly what I was looking for, for him. A loving home where he will get much more attention than what he was getting here with all the family members working and gone much of the day. From their end, Sue was happy she found a healthy dog from a loving family. Yesterday, two days after contacting me, Sue and Bob drove up from their home in North Carolina to spend the day with us in Pennsylvania. We hung out with Beck for a while, went for dinner, then they stayed in a small cottage with Beck. It was a perfect transition. We said goodbye this morning. Mr. Beck is traveling home with them today and although I am sad, I know it's the best thing for both of us. It was so much easier letting him go feeling as though I've made two new friends, and knowing he will have a loving home for the rest of his life. Using Rescue Me! was relatively quick, and it got the job done. Thanks!

Thanks to Rescue Me!, we had so many responses from caring Corgi lovers. Little Brutus was adopted by a lovely young couple. He goes to work with his new Dad, who is in the military. He has a new Mom, whom he adores, and lots of toys. He is adjusting to being around people more, and hopefully will be getting a new playmate soon.

We want to thank Rescue Me's Corgi Rescue so much for helping us to find a good home for our Ollie. I posted on Thursday and within two hours was talking to interested parties up and down the east coast. We were so grateful to everyone who called, texted or emailed us about Ollie. I know some people were very disappointed that Ollie went home with our first appointment today, but the fit was so perfect for Ollie. And, after all, he was our main concern. His family was being deployed (Air Force) and their departure date was moved up two months. We needed to find a new home for him quickly, but we also wanted to find the best home for him. Thanks to Rescue Me! we did.

My fiance and I were looking for a companion to adopt since we recently moved into a pet friendly neighborhood with a fenced in yard. Since he had grown up with Corgis, we began looking at rescues. We came across a listing for Chloe (a 9-year old Corgi) and Duke (a 7-year old Corgi-mix). We were torn on who to choose since we had only wanted one companion. After meeting their owner Lisa and her two babies, we saw how inseparable they were. I fell in love with Duke and my fiance adored Chloe so we adopted both dogs. They have adjusted well to their new forever home and both dogs love going on walks around our neighborhood and have enjoyed visiting our families when we have gone up to Michigan for family events. I know it was really hard for Lisa to have to find a home for her babies, but Shea and I are blessed to have them in our lives. I keep in touch and send Lisa pictures about once a week just to let her know that her babies are being well cared for and loved. I am so thankful for Rescue Me!

We found a sweet Corgi/Border Collie mix that was either lost or abandoned. After trying unsuccessfully to find his owner, we looked to your site to help him find a forever home. A lovely couple saw him on Rescue Me! and they drove all the way from Indiana to Tennessee to adopt him. They love him. They said he was a perfect gentleman, and is settling right into his new home. I am so glad he found a nice home. He was too precious to end up in a dog pound. Thank you for all your help.

Foxy's been great! He's been well-behaved for the most part. I've introduced him to a few friends and their dogs, and he's always been really sweet and friendly. His transition from being an outside dog to an inside dog has been going alright. There have been a few accidents here and there, but that was expected. I bought a crate at Petsmart and he's finally starting to warm up to it. I've been really happy with him. I couldn't have asked for a better dog. (St. Anthony's Canine Rescue was happy to connect Daniel and Foxy's original owner, Christina, together for this rehoming. It has proven to be a good match.)

We had 4 responses to our posting of Oliver, our 8 year old purebred, Pembroke Welsh Corgi. The last of the 4 responses kept up a persistent email conversation, answering our questions, and us answering theirs. Yesterday, my husband and I drove Oliver to San Diego to meet and stay with his new forever family. He rolled all over the floor, then went outside and rolled in the grass. His new grandparents came over with treats and family pet stories. He will be 8 years old on Tuesday, and cupcakes will be ordered. What a happy story for this beautiful, loving dog!

It was a very difficult decision for me to look for a new forever home for my dog, Bishop. He came into my life right before some significant and unexpected changes that made it difficult for me to offer him the kind of home I knew he deserved. I know that corgis are a special high energy breed with unique needs for exercise and consistent leadership. I was worried the not everyone would understand his temperament and needs, and I wanted to find a home that was just right for him. I was so relieved to find Rescue Me's Corgi Rescue as an option to find the right home for Bishop. Within 24 hours of posting info about Bishop on the site, I began receiving inquiries from individuals. Most of them had shared their lives with corgis, loved them, and had lost a corgi. I realized that while I was looking for a home for my special corgi, there were many folks out there who were looking for a corgi of their own. I had the opportunity to communicate with and even meet a number of potential new families. When I made the decision to let a couple adopt Bishop, I felt confident that it was the right decision for me, him and his new family. This is truly a wonderful service and I am sure it has saved many dogs from uncertain futures. I could never have surrendered Bishop to a shelter. I know that this was the best way to find him the right home. I am so thankful for Rescue Me's Corgi Rescue and hope that, if you are considering offering your corgi for adoption, you will consider contacting me to talk about my experience. I would be happy to share. Sincerely, Angela

Mr. Bear my 6 year old corgi was adopted through Rescue Me! Within hours from my posting I had 5 or 6 people interested. Through a friend of a friend, and this website, Mr. Bear is now living on a big ranch with a mommy who stays home ALL DAY to play with him! I was SO grateful for this website because we had tried before to adopt him out (due to the fact that he was not getting along with one of my other dogs) and we had NO success. This is a GREAT way to find a home for your animal! I can't thank this rescue site enough!

I posted my precious Little Man and within 24 hours had three people contact me. I chose a home for him from these three and he will be going to Atlanta, GA to live a long and wonderful life with his new mom. I just know from our conversations that he will be loved forever. This was the most difficult thing I have ever had to do but he just couldn't resist picking a fight with his brother and older adopted sister. He just wants to be the center of attention, which is a typical corgi characteristic... Thank you Rescue Me for this wonderful website!!

Stumpy found a wonderful home because he was listed where he was highly visible based on the breed the person is looking for and location. You are able to speak to the people interested in your dog and make sure it is what you think is a good fit before going any further. Stumpy met his new family yesterday and it was an immediate fit, we were able to rehome Stumpy feeling good about the choice we made and that he would get along with the other dogs, and now have the life we wanted for him.

Our corgi Chili has been with my wife and I for over 5 years and right after the birth of our first child we noticed a dramatic change in his behavior. He became agitated and nippy with us as well as our daughter. For a while we were able to navigate the behavior (which is common for his breed, which we did not know, which was our fault) but as our daughter turned two it was hard keeping them separated. I posted on Rescue Me! and within 3 days a nice woman and her daughter contacted me. We met after exchanging several emails and Chili took to them instantly. I have received several pictures from his new family as well as glowing updates. This has turned out as a win, win for everyone. I just wanted to thank Jeff for helping us find our little buddy a new home!

This young male corgi began showing up at our place several months ago. He was blind in one eye, scraggly, and hungry. When we found the owner (who lived nearby), he wasn't too concerned about the dog and eventually asked if we wanted him. I told the owner I would find someone who did. I placed him on 'Rescue Me' to find him a loving home and within a couple of days, he was adopted. He is scheduled to have his infected blind eye removed later this week and he will also be neutered, thanks to his new owner. Thank you for providing this wonderful site for animal adoption!

We met Daisy in June, and it was love at first sight! We feel honored that her owner's family chose us to be the adoptive parents. It took a couple of weeks for Daisy and our nearly 14 year old Corgi, Edith, to get used to each other, but now it's smooth sailing. As long as they receive an equal amount of treats and attention, they get along great! Daisy had never been around a cat before - it was funny watching her try to figure out exactly what Mocha is. According to Daisy's records, she is nearly 12, but it seems like she is closer to about five - very spry for her age. She is a fun and much-loved addition to our family. We have taken Daisy to visit her first mom at her assisted-living home. I am so happy that we live close enough to be able to do that. I know if I were in that situation, it would mean the world to me to see my dog and know that her new owners are taking good care of her. Thank you for your wonderful Rescue Me organization - what a wonderful service you provide!

I requested my corgi from the middle of the road and posted her onto petfinder, craigslist, and several other sites to try and find her owners. I took her into our vet for flea preventative and a checkup. After realizing that her owners has not registered her chip or gave her any sort of health treatments, I decided to research other ways to either receive help for her much needed medical care, or to find her a forever home. I stumbled across Rescue Me, and I posted my corgi. Within 24 hours we had a response. I was able to directly email the person back and discuss the details. Within 2 days everything was finalized and now, her new parents will be here on Thursday. Having set up an appointment with the vet in our area, the little one is going to receive the medical attention she needs and will begin her new life with another male corgi and a Golden retriever. I have since received 4 emails and 1 phone call from concerned individuals making sure I have found a home for her. Thanks Rescue Me! This has been such a great experience.

Rosie seemed genuinely willing to go with her...well..ok ...so she used the food container and her bowl to seal the deal ..but hey! We all gotta eat. So, pending a clear vet check tomorrow...yes, my darling companion has a new forever home with a great mom. Your site was so helpful, and connected me with the perfect person for her. And the outpouring of concern from other corgi lovers was immediate and heartfelt. Thank you seems inadequate, but necessary. Thank you kind sir - for the site and your personal interest in the final outcome. MJ Baker

Hi Jeff! First, my many thanks and forever gratitude for this website! The response to the posting on your site was immediate, and such a relief to my broken heart to be in the surrender situation. It was certainly nothing I ever planned or expected, this surrendering of my best friend and companion for 9 years; however, your website brought me in contact with other Corgi lovers all over the west coast. Most decided she was too old ( understandable, she is not young) - but the outpouring of understanding certainly lifted my spirit. I will let you know next week what happened in Corvallis; and what the final outcome was... The service you offer is invaluable in my humble opinion to animal lovers everywhere! MJ

Hi Jeff, We found a perfect home for Jude ! I have to be honest, I just randomly did a search for 'Corgi rescue' and found your site. When I saw that I could post Jude's info, I was happy, but didn't really expect any results, as there was only one other listing in Maryland. The next morning, tho, I got a response, and it ended up being a perfect situation. Many thanks. Thank you, Jack

Thank you Jeff. I am so glad that there are more options out there for people looking to not only rehome an animal but for those willing to save a life by adopting. I did find Buddy a home with another sweet Corgi that looks just like him. I am planning to pass your website on to all of those that sent me messages regarding Buddy as I had posted him on a few different sites. Now they will have an alternative to the usual Petfinder and Craig's list and a better chance of finding the right pet for them. It is easy to use, has a bigger variety of animals and I love looking at all the different fur faces waiting for homes. I don't know how someone could use your site and not find a new family member. Good luck with the great site. Christina

Hi Jeff, Rocky found a new home. We found a great couple for him through your rescue me site. He is now in Minneapolis with a young couple who are giving him all the love and attention he needs. Even though it was very sad to see him go so far away we are fortunate that the couple allows us to connect on Skype and we can see how Rocky is doing. We are still looking for a home for Vito, hoping we can find another quality home soon. Thanks Donna

Hi Jeff, I have been contacted by many people from all over the US, which surprised me, but definetely a concentration from Vermont & Maine. A number of people truly looking for work dogs for cattle & dairy farms, which I thought was very cool. Many people looking for companionship for their solo dog or companionship for themselves with a special fondness for the breed. I think I spoke or emailed with probably about 25 to 30 people. Abe was born on a vermont farm and lived all of his 9 years on a vermont farm, so I must admit I wasn't as interested in the city dwellers for Abe as folks that live in the country. Also Abe is somewhat special. I believe Abe has some learning disabilities, because of possible oxygen deprivation in birth. We have worked hard with Abe and he's trained up quite well, but it takes a special sort of person to work with Abe, he is unusually sweet natured and quite sensitive, and in my opinion could be easily destroyed. Finally, a midst many Abe inquiries appeared Don Paxson, a special needs child therapist, with a 14 year old corgi named Tigger, and a beautiful wife and 2 daughters, all very loving with lots of attention for Abe. This seemed like the perfect scenario for our Abe. Abe was adopted a week ago and we have been in almost daily communication with Don. We will see Abe in 2 weeks to check on him and his new family. Thank You so much Jeff for this great website, and the work that you do. Lucy B.

     Sunny does have a new home. I was very impressed by your site. My husband Leslie had several operations and was not able to exercise him anymore and I work 10-12 hour days. About an hour after we posted the notice of availability of Sunny for adoption, we got a call from a man who was looking for a Corgi! I had not been home yet to add a photo, but he came over that night and Sunny was just what he was looking for. We are so glad we could find him a good home. The extra bonus is that the man had adopted another Corgi/Australian Cattle Dog mix male 2 weeks before, who had been rescued 6 months earlier and nursed back to health. He however appeared to be in depression the entire time this man had him until he saw Sunny and he just came to life so not only did Sunny find another loving home, he found his best bud! The man never saw his dog so animated as when he met Sunny! God has blessed us all! Marie Downing :-}

Hi Jeff, The very same day I posted Sammie, I was contacted by a lady who explained her home situation which is ideal for Sammie. We met two days later and Sammie was accepted immediately. I feel confident that Sammie will adjust to her new family quickly, these people are so excited and ready to take care of Sammie. Sammie will be the only dog, her newly adopted Mom is a stay at home Mom, so she will not be home alone much. Sammie has two new little brothers who adore her and will give her the attention she needs. Thank you Rescue Me for providing a website that allows people to find loving new homes for animals. I am very grateful! Sincerely, Lori Reid

It was hard to make the decision to find Max a new home, but this website made the process much easier. It took me a month to get up the courage to let go. I talked with friends and family and had some close matches but nothing panned out. Once I posted on Rescue Me we literally found the perfect new parents for Max within 24 hours. Thank you!

Jeff, I just want to say thanks for having this website. We had many responses and were able to find her a home within a couple of weeks. We interviewed a couple interested people and she meshed great with one family and their corgi. I am waiting to hear back from them on how she is doing. I loved that she didn't have to go to a shelter or rescue before finding a new family and it was good to be able to have a say in what family she went to. The website was very user friendly. I will definitely recommend your website to friends/family that are either looking for a pet or needing to find a pet a new home. Thanks again, Michelle

Rescue me is a very nice site and was more helpful than the local Corgi Rescue that I contacted and said they could help me and never called. You did a wonderful thing by creating the site :) Best, Anna Bjerke
