I happened upon Rescue Me by accident while looking for a rescue to pull some dogs from my local animal control and decided why not give it a try. I posted them this morning, and by this afternoon, two of them had been adopted! Can't thank this site enough!!

I found a new home for Rick and Morty that I trusted with Rescue Me. I tried other online forms of adoption like Craigslist, Facebook, and unfortunately 'hoax' sites. Rescue Me made me feel safe about the people I was considering adopting out my pups. Thanks Rescue Me!

After an accident left me paralyzed, I found myself battling depression. I was searching for a small dog to replace the dog I had in a relationship that went south after my accident. Well, the search ended up being almost three years long and I thought I never would find another. Lo and behold though, I stumbled upon this little gem. I contacted the person and they connected me with someone who was watching the dog for them. As soon as I saw her a day later, I knew we would get along very well. She was shy and quiet at first, but she quickly warmed up and didn't seem afraid of my wheelchair at all. Which I was very concerned about that to be honest. Long story short, I wanted to rescue her, but, really she was rescuing me. Thank you, Rescue Me!

Our much loved Welsh Corgi died last June, and it has taken several months before I was ready to look for our new dog. After almost a month on various websites, I found the sweetest face looking back at me. It was Earnest! She is a Corgi mix with eyes to melt the heart. I filled out the application and waited for someone to contact me. Jess called, we chatted, and worked out the arrangement to meet. When we met, it was raining, Earnest had just been spayed and was very subdued, but still very sweet and mellow. When I got her home and carried her in the house, my husband fell in love! We all fell in love with this lovely, affectionate, cooperative dog. We have all said that her previous owner must have loved her into being, and Jess, her foster mother, made her an adjustable, cheerful dog. We are so glad we found each other! Thank you, Rescue Me!

Joy was adopted by a family who have a set of twin boys, who have begged for their parents to get them a dog. This family drove four hours to adopt Joy. It was hard letting Joy go, but that's what we do, it's like sending them off to college. Joy will have a stay home dad to take care of her during the day and her fellows at night to play and watch tv with. Thank you, Rescue Me!

Thank you Rescue Me. We have found our forever friend! We have been looking for a Corgi pal for about a year, but were not interested in purchasing one. There are so many great dogs who need homes already! In monitoring Corgis up for adoption, we found the perfect match, and were selected to be his forever home. We couldn't be happier.

We are moving overseas and needed to find a loving home for our sweet Corgi, Waldo. We received almost 100 responses within 24 hours and found many great possible matches. Ultimately, we chose a family familiar with Corgis who have another young dog to play with. We are very grateful to Rescue Me for all that you do! Keep up the great work!

Thank goodness for Rescue Me! I posted our Corgi on a Saturday before noon, and I received an email the same day from a lady that was very interested in him. She was a little hesitant about taking a dog house that was not broke, but after some research and discussions back and forth, decided to take him. After a few weeks, I checked with her to see how it was going. She reports one use of a belly band stopped him from marking in the house and they absolutely love him. It made me feel good about my decision to re-home him. I can rest easy knowing he's loved and in his forever home.

We have been looking for a Pug for quite some time. Kona came up as mixed with Corgi. I went to see her, she looked more like a Pug and our seven year old has wanted a Pug for a long time. I adopted her on the spot. Our son will be so thrilled when he gets home from school. Thank you for posting Kona, Rescue Me!

Thank you to Rescue Me! Lucy has found a new home with a family with a love of Corgis and a Black Lab for a friend! Unfortunately, Lucy was re-homed due to her 'Mum' having developed dementia and no longer being able to look after her. Every time I visit her Mum (and mine!) in the nursing home, she still asks about Lucy, which is sad as she misses her so much. But, I can at least assure her that Lucy is well. I have to pretend she's still with me due to Mum's illness because she doesn't understand the need for re-homing. I wish I could have kept her, but it's just not possible. Anyway, at least I know that Lucy will have a good life. Thank you Rescue Me!!

After a couple of weeks of sweating, I didn't want to put this sweet boy down for a cause that was not his own fault. I was contacted by a gal stating she and her fiance were very interested. I gave them a detailed description of his past and some rules they'd need to follow to keep Kingston and other kids safe. They agreed and came down to meet him. Kingston seemed to be comfortable with them and she was enchanted by the sweet pup. They took him to his new fur-ever home. I'm praying he's happy. I did what I had to do to keep both my daughter and my sweet boy-boy safe. Thanks, Rescue Me!

I am very happy and grateful that Rescue Me exists. Peach is a sweet Corgi who my son and daughter-in-law bought while they were still in college. In the fall of 2014 my son brought her to me and asked if I would keep her for a time. I already had four dogs and he thought she would just be 'one of the pack,' until he was able to reclaim her. Several jobs and a relocation later, it became apparent that he would not be taking her back. She was raised as an only dog and seemed rather depressed in my multi-dog household. She also caused excessive agitation among my Belgian Tervuren. Peach has found her forever home now. She is the companion of a wonderful woman and her daughter. They have one 14 year old female Corgi, that Peach is getting along well with. They have horses like I do, and Peach is great going to the barn. I am very appreciative of the many wonderful people who were interested in giving Peach a new home. There were many heartbreaking stories from people who have lost an aged Corgi and hope to have another to fill the void. I hope all of you find a special dog soon to fill that empty spot. Blessings on all this great dog community. Yolanda

We posted Lily, the Corgi, on a Monday and had two prospective forever parents contact us on Thursday. We emailed back and forth on Thursday and Friday and met on Saturday. Lily's new forever home needed a good dog and Lily was a great dog. The match was cemented and we have received updates from time to time. We had spayed, chipped, heartworm treated and vaccinated this dog, dumped near our home. My wife picked up the well behaved stray and we tried for several weeks to find her original parents. As we found her to be unchipped, hesitant around men and pregnant, we figured she had been dumped. Our neighborhood seems to be convenient for some people to drop. Upon meeting Lily's new forever mom, it was evident, this would be a good match. The new mom offered to cover our vet bills, but we felt the connection was sufficient. We asked the new dog mom to donate to Rescue Me, which she did. Great service, easy to use, and appreciated helping pups, find their forever homes. Thanks again!

Rescue Me was the perfect venue in finding a home for Ginger. We had many inquiries, all of them suitable, but we held out until we found a 'match made in heaven'. Four generations of the adopting family arrived for the meet and greet, and I believe it was love all the way around. The new family will be making a donation and we will send a generous check as well.

I found a happy home for my Corgi, Boomer, using Rescue Me. I posted Boomer on Rescue Me, and I got around 25 inquiries. I should have mentioned Boomers age (13 years) in the description. A lady who was very familiar with Corgis travelled two hours to see him. Boomer took immediately to her and went off happily with her. The lady has two acres of land, so Boomer has plenty of space to run.

It seemed like minutes after I posted Finn on Rescue Me, a wonderful woman called me interested in adopting him. She seemed perfect, her husband is a retired veterinarian, they have a small sheep ranch and twenty acres in God's country. There it was, the distance between us, how in the world would I get Finn to her all the way there? She asked me how far away, I was from a college town where her daughter lives and it just so happens, about an hour and a half. She told me she would call her daughter and maybe have her daughter call me to set something up. And again, it just so happens that she had to come to a town half way in between us to pick up and order and asked if I could meet her because, again, it just so happens that a very good friend of hers was taking her horse in the state within about a mile from where this wonderful woman lives. It was just meant to be. Her daughter was so sweet, she texted me updates on how Finn was doing. She has no idea how much I appreciated that. And God bless them, they both put up with me blubbering to the point of not being able to speak. He will be 'home' Sunday and I can't wait till she meets Finnegan, I know she will love him as much as I do and provide him a wonderful home.

I posted Fallon on Rescue Me yesterday and got a call this morning. The couple sounded perfect, so we set up a meet and I believe it was love at first sight. The couple really seemed taken with Fallon and her with them so I think she will have a very happy home. This was a very difficult for me to do as I am very attached to my babies, but I found out recently that I am allergic to dogs (which explains a lot). I managed to hold the tears for about two miles on the way back home, then the waterworks started and are still with me. I am sure I will cry myself to sleep tonight and am anxious to call in the morning to see how everything is going. Thank you for making this website available to people who really want a Corgi and people like me who just can't keep them.

I never thought her adoption would be so quick and easy. She was adopted by a lovely couple, who was looking for a Corgi. Roxie is great with kids, cats, and most everything. I just saw that she and my little girl's dog wouldn't be friends . Thank you to all!

Someone we know has a Corgi mix and we have really enjoyed their little guy. When we were both ready and in agreement it was time to get a dog, we knew we wanted to adopt. All of our searches kept bringing us to Rescue Me. That is where we saw Sprout. We were leaving for vacation so we prayed for God to hold him for us. Once we got back and we settled in, we contacted B.A.R.K. via Rescue Me, and we were able to meet him. We immediately adopted him. He has a new family, new home and lots of new friends to play with. He has settled in amazingly well and has met some of his neighbor friends. He is enjoying his new home, loves to go for walks and likes playing with his new friends. Thank you, Rescue Me, for connecting us all together. I would highly recommend this site to anyone wanting to adopt a pet. Thanks again.

Rescue Me certainly helped me and Harvey. I posted him, and in less than 24 hours I had three inquiries. I wasn't very hopeful as I was unable to provide a photo. Two of the applicants weren't interested because I couldn't supply a photo, but the other person proved to be more than suitable. I'm sure I would have even picked her if I'd had 100 inquiries. I had a further inquiry by phone, who also seemed very suitable. He wasn't bothered about a photo and would have collected Harvey, but by this time it was too late because I'd already made arrangements to take Harvey to Scotland. While I'm sure Harvey will be looked after and loved by this lady as much as I did, he'll be better off in his environment and for walks. His new owner lives in a small village, and very close to the beach. My wife and I took him on a round trip of 950 miles (which is a long way in the UK). We were happy to do so, and, of course, we met his new owner, visited her home and her place of work and saw where she lived. All of this was very satisfactory. So, thanks very much Rescue Me. -Bill and Julie

We took Belle from an older couple that couldn't keep her any longer thinking we could blend her with our family and our Jack Russell. Well, we tried and tried, but she hated our jack and wanted a piece of him from day one. She became more aggressive towards him and never showed any signs of accepting him. We finally decided it wasn't going to work and started looking for a good family to take her. Someone suggested Rescue Me, and away we went. What a great experience. We had calls from all over the country, literally, and finally found a great family that had lost a Corgi. They fell for her instantly and away they went. They stay in touch with us and send photos. We were so lucky to find such a great home for her. Thank you. Sincerely, Kent

We posted Molly on Rescue Me in the hopes that she would find her forever home and be happy. We always loved her dearly and only wanted the best for her, and since her and her sister could not get along, we knew we had to make the hard decision to let her go to a new home. Rescue Me was so easy to work with, and has such a huge base of users that within an hour of listing Molly, we had her first response (and she just happened to be the best candidate). We were overwhelmed with the sheer number of responses and inquiries we had, and it was very helpful to know there were so many people ready to give this wonderful girl a home. We are so thankful for Rescue Me and we plan to use this site in the future to adopt another dog for our little Viva!

I have known Jasmine all eight years of her life and when a friend was in need I took Jasmine in. Although it was only supposed to be temporary she stole my heart. Eight months later, I still have this beautiful dog but could not give her the attention she craved. With quick timing a wonderful family inquired about her, allowing us to come visit. Jasmine has now found her forever home... Safe and sound with an amazing family in a beautiful home.      I was afraid this world be kind of weird, a person you know nothing about, coming to your home, and picking up your fur baby. But this was amazing! It's better than taking them to a pound, where they'll be put to sleep, or waiting with a million other dogs for a home. Your pet gets to wait in his home.      Sweetie was found by a good Samaritan in a local park. She was abandoned and living there for approximately six months. The good Samaritan fed her daily to gain her trust. At first, she would bolt if she saw anyone. At the end of the six months, she would approach to get food and was eating out of the lady's hand. Sweetie was caught by the lady in a small enclosure. Within 48 hours of posting her picture on this site, she had an adopter who was willing to work with her as well as get her medical attention. She is now healthy and has a wonderful forever home. The family loves her and she loves them. Thank you Rescue Me for helping her.

I posted Quincy for my 89 year old widowed next door neighbor who had just moved into an assisted living facility and had asked me to please find a loving home for his five year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She is a sweet little dog, but she had two years earlier injured her right eye and the vet was unable to save it, so her eye had to be removed. I wasn't sure if she would be adoptable, but the response from Rescue Me was incredible! I received seven calls in less than 24 hours and was able to schedule a meeting with a family who sounded like they were ideal for Quincy. They came to our home and met and played with her in the afternoon, and said 'We have found a new member for our family'. I appreciate Rescue Me so much and am going to list them as my designated donor site for my Therapy Dog club. I could not recommend them more highly! Excellent, and the website was very user friendly. Thank you so much! God bless you, Jeff Gold, for this wonderful service!

We were so happy to be contacted by a lovely lady through your Rescue Me site. She was interested in one of our little dogs, Wendy, that we'd been trying for a long time to find a home for. The lady had been widowed some time ago and following a long time of healing following her traumatic loss, was finally ready to open her heart to a dog. She visited our shelter and fell in love with Wendy. So, off they went together to her home where Wendy has settled in well. She now has a lovely warm bed instead of a wood pallet, and some brand new toys to play with! This lady has fallen in love with her totally. We love happy endings! Thank you, Rescue Me, for helping us find Wendy her new forever home. A little donation has already been made!

I received several offers to adopt Fergie from Arkansas to Alabama and beyond. Fergie went to a young couple in my area where I can stay involved in her weight loss program and visit with her. I have never been around Corgi's before Fergie and have become a fan of the breed. Fergie and I were both amazed at her popularity! Thank You Rescue Me for your service to animals and animal lovers.

It was amazing. We put Roy on the Rescue Me site at 11 pm and the people started calling and emailing immediately! We did not know we were going to get so many calls. We scheduled the first family to meet Roy and had to turn down five more who called. The mom brought her seven year old and a toddler. They grabbed Roy and started hugging him. Roy just kissed and licked them. The mom said, 'It looks like the decision is made.'

I do believe in my heart that Bella knows that she is going to a new, forever home. I prayed about this and know it is the right thing to do. God bless Rescue Me.

We lost our first dog Nicole after 12 years. She was a shelter dog. We have other dogs, but a void needed to be filled, I decided to rescue a senior dog that had a greater chance of being put down at a shelter. Jackie seems very happy. My daughters have fallen in love with her funny little walk (her legs are deformed) and love her gentle personality. Jackie is the second dog I have found on this Rescue Me. The first one was a year ago, Corgi mix Mojave, we love our shelter dogs!

My husband and I had been looking for a rescue Corgi to add to our family for over a year. We searched PetFinder.com, but the available Corgis have always been too far away to travel. On a whim, I googled our state's Corgi rescues and got Rescue Me! The map was incredibly helpful for checking out the available animals in our and neighboring states. We were just looking for one more Corgi to join our pack of two Corgis, but when we saw that Sir Yoshi and Royal Penny had grown up together, we could not separate them. So we are adding two Corgis to our Corgum!

Within less than a week of posting my sweet boy's picture, we were contacted by two different families very interested in adopting him. The miracle of this adoption is not only did the first contact adopt him, but he has lived with his cat for seven years and this couple took both Pepper and Patches so that they would not be split up. I came across Rescue Me by accident, but I am so very glad that I did. Thank you so much for the service that you have provided.

I received no less than 25 inquires in less than 24 hours since posting my sweet Kiwi on Rescue Me! Each and every person I spoke with had owned a Corgi in the past or currently owned a Corgi. I narrowed the list down to three potential families, and am happy to report that she was adopted by my first choice family. I chose a couple that had lost their 13 year old Corgi last February, and who had no other pets. Kiwi's new Dad is in full remission from cancer treatments last year and is also recently retired. He and Kiwi are going to be wonderful companions to each other and become great buddies. She will be the #1 VIP in her new home. She's a lucky girl and I couldn't be more excited for her and her new family. Thanks so much to Rescue Me! and to Bonnie for the assistance and guidance in helping Kiwi to find her new fur-ever home.

Bones seems to like her new surroundings and the new owner seems to be falling in love with her. I am so delighted Bones is happy and will be well taken care of. A good connection!

This lovely boy, Wellington, needed a new home away from the farm he had wandered to. When he was ready to go to his forever home I listed him with Rescue Me! A couple, five hours away, thought he would be a great companion for their Corgi, so we arranged for them to come meet him. The next day he was on his way to his furever home! Thank you for this place to help dogs.

Sue and Bob lost their beloved Corgi, Maggie, last year from cancer. From what her children have said, the house just wasn't the same without a dog and neither was Sue. Even though Bob said he would not have another dog, Sue took a look at Rescue Me! My dog, Beckham, came up as a possible match, and she took the chance and e-mailed me. We corresponded for two days about our lives and Beck. From my end, it was exactly what I was looking for, for him. A loving home where he will get much more attention than what he was getting here with all the family members working and gone much of the day. From their end, Sue was happy she found a healthy dog from a loving family. Yesterday, two days after contacting me, Sue and Bob drove up from their home in North Carolina to spend the day with us in Pennsylvania. We hung out with Beck for a while, went for dinner, then they stayed in a small cottage with Beck. It was a perfect transition. We said goodbye this morning. Mr. Beck is traveling home with them today and although I am sad, I know it's the best thing for both of us. It was so much easier letting him go feeling as though I've made two new friends, and knowing he will have a loving home for the rest of his life. Using Rescue Me! was relatively quick, and it got the job done. Thanks!

We want to thank Rescue Me's Corgi Rescue so much for helping us to find a good home for our Ollie. I posted on Thursday and within two hours was talking to interested parties up and down the east coast. We were so grateful to everyone who called, texted or emailed us about Ollie. I know some people were very disappointed that Ollie went home with our first appointment today, but the fit was so perfect for Ollie. And, after all, he was our main concern. His family was being deployed (Air Force) and their departure date was moved up two months. We needed to find a new home for him quickly, but we also wanted to find the best home for him. Thanks to Rescue Me! we did.

My fiance and I were looking for a companion to adopt since we recently moved into a pet friendly neighborhood with a fenced in yard. Since he had grown up with Corgis, we began looking at rescues. We came across a listing for Chloe (a 9-year old Corgi) and Duke (a 7-year old Corgi-mix). We were torn on who to choose since we had only wanted one companion. After meeting their owner Lisa and her two babies, we saw how inseparable they were. I fell in love with Duke and my fiance adored Chloe so we adopted both dogs. They have adjusted well to their new forever home and both dogs love going on walks around our neighborhood and have enjoyed visiting our families when we have gone up to Michigan for family events. I know it was really hard for Lisa to have to find a home for her babies, but Shea and I are blessed to have them in our lives. I keep in touch and send Lisa pictures about once a week just to let her know that her babies are being well cared for and loved. I am so thankful for Rescue Me!

We found a sweet Corgi/Border Collie mix that was either lost or abandoned. After trying unsuccessfully to find his owner, we looked to your site to help him find a forever home. A lovely couple saw him on Rescue Me! and they drove all the way from Indiana to Tennessee to adopt him. They love him. They said he was a perfect gentleman, and is settling right into his new home. I am so glad he found a nice home. He was too precious to end up in a dog pound. Thank you for all your help.

Foxy's been great! He's been well-behaved for the most part. I've introduced him to a few friends and their dogs, and he's always been really sweet and friendly. His transition from being an outside dog to an inside dog has been going alright. There have been a few accidents here and there, but that was expected. I bought a crate at Petsmart and he's finally starting to warm up to it. I've been really happy with him. I couldn't have asked for a better dog. (St. Anthony's Canine Rescue was happy to connect Daniel and Foxy's original owner, Christina, together for this rehoming. It has proven to be a good match.)

We had 4 responses to our posting of Oliver, our 8 year old purebred, Pembroke Welsh Corgi. The last of the 4 responses kept up a persistent email conversation, answering our questions, and us answering theirs. Yesterday, my husband and I drove Oliver to San Diego to meet and stay with his new forever family. He rolled all over the floor, then went outside and rolled in the grass. His new grandparents came over with treats and family pet stories. He will be 8 years old on Tuesday, and cupcakes will be ordered. What a happy story for this beautiful, loving dog!

It was a very difficult decision for me to look for a new forever home for my dog, Bishop. He came into my life right before some significant and unexpected changes that made it difficult for me to offer him the kind of home I knew he deserved. I know that corgis are a special high energy breed with unique needs for exercise and consistent leadership. I was worried the not everyone would understand his temperament and needs, and I wanted to find a home that was just right for him. I was so relieved to find Rescue Me's Corgi Rescue as an option to find the right home for Bishop. Within 24 hours of posting info about Bishop on the site, I began receiving inquiries from individuals. Most of them had shared their lives with corgis, loved them, and had lost a corgi. I realized that while I was looking for a home for my special corgi, there were many folks out there who were looking for a corgi of their own. I had the opportunity to communicate with and even meet a number of potential new families. When I made the decision to let a couple adopt Bishop, I felt confident that it was the right decision for me, him and his new family. This is truly a wonderful service and I am sure it has saved many dogs from uncertain futures. I could never have surrendered Bishop to a shelter. I know that this was the best way to find him the right home. I am so thankful for Rescue Me's Corgi Rescue and hope that, if you are considering offering your corgi for adoption, you will consider contacting me to talk about my experience. I would be happy to share. Sincerely, Angela

Mr. Bear my 6 year old corgi was adopted through Rescue Me! Within hours from my posting I had 5 or 6 people interested. Through a friend of a friend, and this website, Mr. Bear is now living on a big ranch with a mommy who stays home ALL DAY to play with him! I was SO grateful for this website because we had tried before to adopt him out (due to the fact that he was not getting along with one of my other dogs) and we had NO success. This is a GREAT way to find a home for your animal! I can't thank this rescue site enough!
